94 / 100"(2018 REVIEW) Powerful and throaty, churning with tannin, mocha and new leather, dried herb and floral perfume, black fruit. Oak is nutty nougat and fragrant, not overdone, but noted, finishes saline and long with sooty tannin and glimmers of red fruit. A lotta Barossa."

"(2018 REVIEW) From the western ridge of the Barossa Valley, open-fermented, 9 days on skins, twice-daily pumpovers, pressed to American and French hogsheads (35% new) for 14 months. A super-generous, full-bodied, fleshy wine. It is balanced, and carries its fruit load with ease."

Tasting Notes
2019 Greenock Shiraz is dark purple-black in colour. It has an expressive aroma displaying plum pudding, rose florals, milk chocolate, marinated olive, cinnamon spice and some toasty oak. The palate is rich and full-bodied, exhibiting classic Greenock Shiraz from a superb vintage. It has a perfect combination of ripe black fruits together with rustic spice. Oak is finely integrated adding a supporting role to the primary fruit. Tannins are robust but being natural they are perfectly unified adding solid engaging structure. There is a lengthy finish to complete a very complex, well balanced wine. Greenock is a complex, refined and classy Barossa Shiraz that has a long cellaring future.
