Tasting Notes
Siblings Claude-Emmanuel and Louis-Benoît took over from their father in 2001, being the 8th generation to manage the number of crus around Morgon and the Côtes du Py. They now produce only estate fruit, with long and slow fermentation. This is a bold and built Beaujolais, with loads of dark fruits and complexity. Braised beef cheeks in red wine sauce will not go astray here.

Scores
92+ / 100"Bursting with aromas of raspberries, cherries, sweet soil tones and peonies, the 2019 Morgon Montpelain is medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with abundant but velvety tannins, lively acids and a gourmand core of fruit. This has turned out very well."
- Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
