90 / 100"The Pelassa 2019 Langhe Corte Enrichetta is a blend of Barbera and Nebbiolo that shows some of the dark fruit of the first grape and the linear sharpness and elegance of the second. This is a fun-drinking (and well-priced) red wine to pair with pork or veal. The bouquet offers dried violets and lilac, wild berry, tar and spice."

5 / 5
"Full of personality, this is a vigorous, 50/50 blend of Nebbiolo and Barbera, grown in north-west Italy. Deeply coloured, it is mouthfilling, rich and supple, with a strong surge of blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, savoury notes adding complexity, fresh acidity and good tannin backbone."

"Richly savoury and enticing, the wine shows dark berry, fine leather, dried porcini and toasted nut aromas on the nose, leading to a finely flowing palate that's brilliantly structured by grainy tannins. Sturdy and dry with a persistent finish."

Tasting Notes
A deliciously approachable blend of Nebbiolo and Barbera, earning a Best Wine for Value award from Gambero Rosso. A bright bouquet of red fruits, wild berries, dried violets and smoky spice. Strong cherry cola and raspberry fruit flavours, dried mint and a little clove on the palate, underpinned with a tart acidity. Extremely well balanced and harmonious with a silky smooth finish.
