Tasting Notes
James Broinowski finds a great balance between freshness and texture with this release, it's Pinot Gris delivered in a contemporary style.
It's flush with plenty of succulent pears and green apple character, the fresh, crunchy acidity lending some drive.
Good Gris. Real good. As always with James' wines, a tiny production quantity too.
Single site Pinot Gris from the Tamar. Layers of pear and guava with a fine acid line that promotes this crisp and lively wine. Exceptional value, a serious Pinot Gris. 12 hours of skin contact, 80% stainless steel ferment, 20% older oak, cold fermentation, spontaneous fermentation.
