"Bright, fresh, a bouquet with pinosity and a sense of place with a core mineral quality of crushed stones and a lick of limestone then fruit aromas of fresh red cherries and plums then raspberry. Oak has a moment within the bouquet yet fades as the fruit and mineral dominates as the wine opens out in glass. Textured, taut, youthful and dry as the wine touches the palate. Fine tannins, highly polished layer in texture and length, acidity has finesse and crunch while the fruit carries the voice of pinot. A combination of pinosity and texture, harmony between textures and a lengthy finish. Well made with best drinking from 2024 through 2030+."

Tasting Notes

Though it is a relatively young vineyard, Bedford Estate is planted with top three Pinot Noir clones, Abel, Dijon 777 and Dijon 943. Grapes were harvested and fermented by clone to unleash the full potential of each clone before they were blended and bottled. This method gave rich depth and complexity to the wine.

This wine bursts with freshness, exhibiting a distinct sense of place through its mineral core of crushed stones and subtle limestone notes. Red cherries, plums, and raspberries create a vibrant fruit bouquet, with oak nuances fading as the wine breathes. On the palate, it's textured, youthful, and dry, with fine tannins and a polished, persistent finish. The interplay of pinosity and texture, along with a harmonious blend of flavors, resonates on the palate, leading to a lingering and satisfying conclusion.
