Tasting Notes
Clos de la Hutte is a 7-hectare ancient religious site located in the commune of La Possonniere in the Savennières appellation of the Loire Valley where Boudignon- a rising star in the region- applies biodynamic farming principles to create this truly magical bottle. The aromas leap from the glass before you take the first sip, and upon that the perfect combination of the Loire's wonderful minerality along with citrus notes and ripe green fruit. But that's really just the beginning.
This wine will continue to improve in the cellar for twenty more years, but trust us, it's absolutely fantastic right now. Give it plenty of time to decant and warm up a touch and then welcome it with open arms.

96 / 100"Move over Luther Vandross, Thibaud Boudignon is in town and the Clos de la Hutte makes you want to slow dance with it. The 2020 is a wine that makes your shoulders drop such is its tranquility and sense of comfort in your mouth. It blooms in the mouth and does so without any sense of heaviness. The finish, scented with flowers and nectarines, is long, fragrant and textural. I hate using the word minerality as it means so many different things to people, but in my opinion, this has it in spades. It is incredible that the vines were only planted in 2011 on the schistous site on the grounds of a former monastery. Aged in larger format barrels, there's no sense of oakiness, allowing the purity of this wine to shine bright."
