94 / 100"It’s always fascinating to taste the Tyrrell’s Semillons side by side each year. They’re very similar, yet quite different. They make you prone to saying stupid things. I wrote most of these notes on initial tasting, and I’m coming back to look at the open bottles a day later, just to check on their progress. Crisp, fresh, slight grassiness, light powdery soft chalkiness through it, and more to lemon than lime in the flavour department. Good length. Zips along. Fresh squeezed lemon juice sweetness plays out on the finish. How’s the purity? Tasty now too, though better later."

Tasting Notes
Sourced from Neil Stevens’ Glenoak vineyard, a combination of light sandy loams and transitional darker, heavier clay soils. Oldest plantings on this vineyard are from 1911. Fermentation in stainless steel at cool temperatures with some time on lees before bottling.
