94 / 100"Ripe raspberry, baking spice, a little creamy, mixed berries, acidity is clean, tannin a little sticky, but lovely flavour and a good finish. Very nice. Has the plushness that Vat 9 delivers so well. I can’t imagine anyone not liking this wine (well, I can, though there’s likely no help I can offer them)."

Tasting Notes
Tyrrell's Wines has been producing wines in the Hunter Valley since 1858, making them one of Australia's oldest family-owned wineries. With each bottle of Vat 9 Shiraz, you're not only experiencing a delicious wine, but also a piece of Australian winemaking history.
Vat 9 Shiraz is made from carefully selected, handpicked grapes grown in the prestigious Hunter Valley region. The wine undergoes a meticulous winemaking process, including aging in high-quality French oak barrels. The result is a wine that beautifully showcases the distinct characteristics of the region, with rich flavors, exceptional structure, and a refined elegance.
The 2021 vintage of Vat 9 Shiraz exhibits an impressive complexity and depth of flavors. Expect to find a harmonious balance of dark berries, plums, and cherries, intertwined with hints of spice, pepper, and subtle oak nuances. The wine's well-integrated tannins and vibrant acidity contribute to a silky-smooth texture and a long, lingering finish.
