95 / 100"The price for Private Bin members is $80, the price below is when it’s released commercially a few years down the track. I know it’s kind of confusing, though that’s the way they like it. Pretty, perfumed, dark red fruit, a little spice, a light dusting of vanilla cocoa. Medium-bodied, composed and flavoursome, cool clear acidity, tannin is there adding gentle grip, kind of a powdery/chalky texture here, and the finish is long with fragrance, fine grip and a sort of cranberry acidity. It’s quite a delicate wine, and I reckon it will be terrific with some bottle age. Superb."

Tasting Notes
Tyrrell's Wines has been producing wines in the Hunter Valley since 1858, making them one of Australia's oldest family-owned wineries. With each bottle of Vat 9 Shiraz, you're not only experiencing a delicious wine, but also a piece of Australian winemaking history.
Vat 9 Shiraz is made from carefully selected, handpicked grapes grown in the prestigious Hunter Valley region. The wine undergoes a meticulous winemaking process, including aging in high-quality French oak barrels. The result is a wine that beautifully showcases the distinct characteristics of the region, with rich flavors, exceptional structure, and a refined elegance.
Vat 9 Shiraz has a proven track record of aging gracefully. While it can be enjoyed now, its structure and balance allow for further development and evolution over time. By cellaring a bottle or two, you have the opportunity to witness the wine's flavors and aromas evolve into something truly remarkable.
