96 / 100"The Valentini family have been winemakers since 1650, committed to the rustic artisanal tradition rooted in the land. They follow nature, not fashion: their Trebbiano d’Abruzzo enjoys international cult status but is released only when ready. In 2019, this eminently cellarable white produced masterfully elegant, pure results. The complex, clear bouquet leads to a memorable, profound palate, with subtle saline undertones. Substance and freshness in superb harmony: simply unforgettable."

Tasting Notes
100% Trebbiano d’Abruzzese massal selection grapes, original to property; 93 year old vines planted in limestone, marly-clay soils over sandstone-rich bedrock; fermented in stainless steel tanks using only indigenous yeasts; no secondary fermentation; aged 18 months in tank and bottle; bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Straw yellow with green tinges. Luminous wine, very mineral, with green apple, apricot, tangerine, lemon peel, with nuances of white flowers and anise. Vibrant, precise, crystalline. Rich and tactile with a laser beam of lemony acidity. Finishes long with harmonious minerality and flinty, creamy texture.
