99 / 100"The 2022 vintage was exceptionally dry (only 79mm!). Warmer in spring, but with temperatures according to average in summer, the vintage 2022 resulted to be superb for all Bordeaux varieties, generous in fruit and wonderfully balanced between ripeness and freshness, between structure and acidity, richer than average, without lacking acidity. Produced from an extremely dry vintage, this well-structured wine of balanced acidity and harmonious texture is the living expression of the fabulous terroir of Puente Alto, the perfect harmony between complexity and tension."

Tasting Notes
In 1997, Baroness Philippine de Rothschild, Chairman of the Advisory Board of Baron Philippe de Rothschild S.A., and Don Eduardo Guilisasti Tagle, Chairman of Viña Concha y Toro S.A., sealed a profound alliance, with a view to create an exceptional Franco-Chilean premium wine called Almaviva. Made from a blend of classic Bordeaux varieties Almaviva is the result of an encounter between two cultures. Chile contributing with its nature, soil, climate and vines, while France contributes with its winemaking know-how, elegance and traditions.
Fresh, elegant, complex. Opening notes of ripe fruit and subtle floral aromas. The bouquet then reveals striking notes of licorice and graphite. The attack is frank and juicy, with notes of blackcurrant and raspberry. The finish reveals notes of vanilla and cocoa. The structure is delicate, the tannins soft and polished.
