Tasting Notes
A tightly knit Shiraz that will evolve slowly over the next few years. Very deep, almost opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Perfumed nose of violets, cedar and spice followed by a touch of vanilla and liquorice allsorts. The palate has very good weight, with spicy layers of white pepper over plum, confectionary and vanilla. This is a restrained style – quite different from Shiraz of McLaren Vale, Heathcote or Barossa Valley. Fine grained tannins displaying excellent balance. Aftertaste of vanilla, spice and white pepper.
