94 / 100"This is sexy stuff that proprietor Roman Bratasiuk says is “more Côte-Rôtie” than his other Syrahs. Its perfumed nose offers up hints of violets and cracked pepper to go along with raspberry fruit, while it's supple in the mouth—almost too easy—with pretty mixed berry flavors and a nib of bitter chocolate. Long and elegant on the finish."

"The single vineyard effort 2004 Syrah Liandra Vineyard possesses a tell-tale peppery, blackberry, and cassis-scented nose, wonderful purity and intensity, but a more laid-back character than many of the Clarendon Hills offerings. Medium to full-bodied and elegant"

Tasting Notes
Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. Superb nose of plum, cedar, spice, blackberry and white pepper. The palate exhibits that rich 'joosy' character that is McLaren Vale - ripe plum, blackberry and black pepper explode over a liquorice background. Perfect balance, with velvet tannins and exceptionally long aftertaste of spice, blackberry and black pepper.
