95 / 100"The 2018 Rozas 1er Cru is one of my go-to wines from Comando G, as it delivers outstanding quality for its price. I had already tasted this before, but like the rest of the wines, I wanted to put it in the context of the full 2018 lineup and also against the still-unbottled 2019. The wine has evolved very slowly, keeping the profile—expressive, floral and open, beautifully textured with the granite fingerprint. Beautiful."

Tasting Notes
Rozas 1er Cru Garnacha is made from three vineyards in Rozas de Puerto Real, just beneath the Las Umbrias vineyard at 900 metres.
In location and in style, the wine sits perfectly between Comando G’s incredibly light, delicate Las Umbrias and the village wine La Bruja.
The extra vine age, altitude and lighter granite soils that separate the plots of Rozas 1er from those of La Bruja result in a version of Garnacha that’s delicate and lifted, with a tighter structure.
