93 / 100""The 2017 Pommard 1er Cru Les Rugiens is the king of the cellar this year, unwinding in the glass with aromas of cassis, dark berries, plums, baking chocolate and spices. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and muscular, with rich structuring tannins, fine concentration and a long, sapid finish. This is a serious effort that will reward bottle age.""

""A cool and restrained nose features the essence of spicy red berry fruit aromas that are liberally laced with hints of tea, earth and violet. There is fine volume, verve and detail if less richness to the mineral-inflected flavors that exhibit evident power and muscle on the robust, serious and equally built-to-age finale. This too is excellent. 2032+”""
