Scores
95 / 100"Destemmed to open fermenters, 15% whole berries, 10 days on skins, matured for 12 months in French puncheons (20% new). A highly fragrant and expressive bouquet leads the palate with its spice, black pepper, licorice and blackberry flavours. The tannin and oak inputs are all they should be, as are the texture, line and length."

Tasting Notes
Shiraz was the first red grape variety planted in Langhorne Creek at Bleasdale in 1858. This wine shows flavours of ripe plums and other dark berries, layered with liquorice, pepper and fresh spices. Drinking well now, but with the potential to be a long term cellaring prospect if desired. After a period of cellaring, it is normal for some sediment to form. Decanting one hour before drinking is recommended.
