95 / 100"2019 might not quite be in the class of 2018 in this part of the world, but this is a very fine wine nevertheless. A lustrous nose, saturated with cassis, bitter chocolate, blackberry, bouquet garni, scrub and tapenade. A full-bodied palate with the oak a mere adjunct to all that is going on. Firm and attenuated sage-brushed tannins corral the fruit into a savoury whole. Each glass is a kaleidoscope of textural intrigue."
