"Mahogany, must and dust. All the age, but not zombified. The fruit freshness is in the past tense, but the complexity and earth of it is still very attractive. This lady's not for keeping. - Richard Hemming MW, Published: 22 Feb 2020"

"With a beautiful, copper, orange and caramel hue, the apricot, honey, creme brulee, marmalade, caramel and butterscotch aromatics grabbed you. Silky, with perhaps a bit more freshness than sweetness in the mouth, the finish is packed with candied orange, pineapple, creme caramel and candied citrus rind. The wine remained at the same level of quality for hours in the glass. - Tasted: Dec 2015"

Tasting Notes

"A vintage of immense repute, the Château d'Yquem 1962 boasts a dazzling robe with deep orange and amber hues. On the nose, it embodies the complexity of noble rot and the aromatic richness that typifies a grand Yquem, composed of notes of candied orange peel, quince paste, and apricot. A spiced dimension contributes to the bouquet's structure, conjuring saffron and incense. Whiffs of cedar and mint extend the moment, heralding a wine distinguished by its remarkable freshness. On the palate, the wine is vibrant, striking a subtle balance between freshness and density. Abound with notes of candied citrus fruits rich yet expansive—it caresses the palate gently before culminating in a lingering finish underscored by elegant bitters.

It is through an immersion in the world of this great wine that we wish to offer you a unique and memorable moment, reflecting the eternal nature of this vintage. We will take you, for a private tour of the wine estate at the end of which you will have the
