"The 1985 vintage holds the record for the latest harvest ever collected, making this wine the sole Château d'Yquem produced in December. Thirty-nine years after its challenging and risky collection, this patiently awaited Château d'Yquem shines with deep orange nuances in its color. On the nose, it is distinguished by an intense medley of candied citrus, conjuring images of bitter orange, tangerine, and kumquat. Its aromatic freshness and purity are striking, enhanced by rustic and saffron-like impressions. Notes of dried apricot envelop the senses and carry through to the palate, which is characterized by a silky touch and exquisitely candied flavors.
