95 / 100"Basket pressed, racked to new and used French oak, bottled unfined and unfiltered. Last year I used the word substantial and it was the first word to spring to mind here. This really does put a roar into the glass. Iodine, blackcurrant, graphite and peppercorn characters are delivered bold and supple. There’s a lake of fruit, a bank of tannin and an even flow between the two. It’s quality."

Tasting Notes
A brilliant expression of McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon, with a dense, dark appearance. Extremely fragrant, with intense red fruits, fresh tomato leaves, blackcurrant, and a hint of leather. The mesmerising palate has similar red fruit characters, including sweet pepper, red berries, and red plums with fresh cherry tomatoes and white pepper on the back palate. Full bodied, with considerable structure and depth; very round and elegant. Pronounced savoury, persistent tannins demonstrate the age ability of this succulent wine.
