16.5 / 20"100% whole bunch. Tank sample. Deep cherry red. Dark-red fruit. Deep and rich, full of spicy fruit and long and fresh on the finish. Lively and juicy. Stems can give an impression of underripeness or menthol early on, says Potel, but round out later. ‘Perfect for climate change."

Tasting Notes
Domaine de Bellene is a well respected Burgundy producer founded by Nicolas Potel in Beaune in 2005. It has plots in nine different premier cru vineyards spread across the appellations of Beaune, Savigny-les-Beaune and Vosne-Romanee. The focus is on the cultivation of very old vines, with the domaine's oldest 100 plus year-old vines located in the Premier Cru climat of Les Greves.
High-toned aromas and flavors that focus on elegant red fruits (strawberry, raspberry, rhubarb), Asian spices (cinnamon, coriander, nutmeg), and intense floral notes (violets, rose petals, acacia). From very old vines (65+ years), this medium bodied Burgundy exudes finesse and freshness. Already compelling (with decanting) and will age for another decade. ;Try this with a rare filet mignon, garlic roast chicken, and medium to strong cheeses.
