89 / 100"A new acquisition, 1ha30 of which two thirds is white. The vineyard is situated in Les Meurées in the lower part of Cheilly on a steep bank. Pale green tint to the lemon colour. The nose has a fresher element but suggests good weight of adequately ripe fruit. Direct and focussed, quite concentrated apple, a lemon finish. A little oak behind. Drink from 2025-2028. Tasted: October 2023."

Tasting Notes
The “Maranges” appellation is located south of Santenay in the southernmost part of the Côte de Beaune. Domaine Chavy-Chouet manages a beautiful plot at the bottom of the slope of the appellation in a South-West exposure called: “Les Meurées”. Aged for 10 months in barrels.
The first nose opens with hawthorn, acacia honey and flint. Beautiful development in the glass with a very noble tertiary. On the palate, the material shows a beautiful smoothness and a formidable persistence on lime blossom and frangipani.
