Tasting Notes
Domaine Etienne Sauzet Chassagne Montrachet Les Encegnieres is a wine of exceptional quality and character that is sure to impress even the most discerning of palates.
Crafted from handpicked Chardonnay grapes grown in the esteemed Chassagne Montrachet region of Burgundy, France, this wine boasts a bright and refreshing acidity that is perfectly balanced with rich, creamy flavors of ripe fruit and subtle hints of oak.
Clear pale lemon with an incisive lightly reductive nose. This starts leaner than expected, but soon fills out into a soft plump pillow of fruit, soft pears, but then the tension returns with some warmth too. The aromatics are not over-ripe and I did not pick the high alcohol level here. No doubt about the concentration, nor length and there is just enough acidity.
