Tasting Notes
Brothers David and Nicolas Rossignol run this 100% Organic and Biodynamically farmed Domaine located in the very heart of Gevrey Chambertin. Very early to the Sustainable farming movement, all the family's vineyards, located in some of the most impressive vineyards in Burgundy, were converted to Certified Orgainc in 2004.
This esteemed estate started with the marriage of Jacques Rossignol of Volnay with Mado Trapet from a noted Gevrey-Chambertin family.
Very small parcel of 0.25-hectares with all vines planted in 1977. Located opposite the Premier Cru vineyards of Les Rouvrettes and Les Narbatons with a north-south orientation.
Bright and aromatic nose of red summer berry fruit with a hint of cinnamon spice. Good weight and structure complemented by the juicy, pure texture and luscious, rounded tannins that envelop a dark core of bramble and hedgerow fruit with white pepper spice. Drink 2024-2030.
