17 / 20"Blend of the three dry-grown vineyards: Craighall, Lovat and Dry River Estate (slightly heavier clay cf alluvial gravel for the other two), of which all are owned. Craighall and Lovat (the latter the only one to have some Dijon clones) farmed by both Dry River and Ata Rangi and from 2003 they each bought their various parcels of Craighall and the new owners of Dry River bought the whole of Lovat. Certified organic, biodynamic practices (uncertified). 40% whole bunch. Aged for 12 months in French oak puncheons, 20% new, then 3 months in tank. Mid glowing garnet. Very complex nose with some meatiness and savour. Lots of juice and spice. Already quite accessible even if there is not a drop of excess sweetness. Good ripeness."
