97 / 100"Intense, dense wine with cassis, blueberry, blackberry, dark chocolate, mixed spice and nutty oak flavours. Concentrated wine that is beautifully structured making it accessible now but with obvious potential"

"A very tannic and crunchy wine with cashmere texture and powerful structure. Rather muscular. Full body. Fantastic depth of fruit. Blackberry with some dried strawberry and orange peel. Needs three or four years to soften."

"There’s a definitive complexity and power in the bouquet with a concentration of red berry fruits, dark raspberry and red currant, there’s a mix of dried herb and savoury. A moderate oak influence then floral aromatics and mineral. Taut, dry, warm and youthful, a wine of texture then spice, fruit flavours mirror the bouquet, the oak steps up a little more as the wine becomes more ambient. Tannins have a fine texture, are in abundance layering in mouthfeel and breadth. Acidity adds freshness and length on the palate. Well made, lengthy and youthful. A wine that will age and integrate well offering best drinking from 2025 through 2035."

"Bright colour with a tint of purple, not too dark, the bouquet aromatic with dried herbs and flowers, meaty/charcuterie notes and smoky oak overtones, a really smart bouquet. Dark cherry to plum fruits. Intense, full-bodied, penetrating and ample in the mouth. Big tannins too. There's more oak here, but not overdone, it just needs a bit more time."

Tasting Notes
Crimson red with a deep dark core. Lifted and fragrant, offering all the grace and poise Pinot can give, with an alluring charm. This is a wine that is both subtle and beguiling, yet bold and brooding. It is lifted and fragrant with perfume and spice, along with cascading red and black fruits that offer an array of flavours and complexity. Always evolving in the glass, it has a core of dark fruit with dried porcini mushrooms and cured meat that work in harmony with the floral notes and savoury accents. It is the classic iron fist in a velvet glove. A firm tannin profile rounds out the opulent fruit profile to combine excellent texture and reward patience for cellaring up to 20 years. Match with rich red meats, duck or traditional Christmas lunch with the
trimmings. Serve at 16°C.
