96 / 100"Deep red/purple colour and a rich, ripe bouquet with black cherry and plum, but also floral notes and great detail. A fine and penetrating pinot of great length and focus. Full-bodied and packed with flavour and extract, the abundant soft tannins perfectly integrated into the whole. The tannins are a mite firmer than the Block 3 or Cornish Point. A very impressive pinot. 27 AUG 2014"

"Aromatic and very spicy, with clove, cinnamon and nutmeg details that lend plenty of intrigue to the core of fleshy plum and black-berry flavors. Fresh and vibrant, but with some brooding earth and forest floor notes that gain momentum on the velvety finish. Drink now through 2030. - MaryAnn Worobiec, Published 2015"

"Tasted non-blind with the winemaker, the affable Blair Walter. Red fruit and plum, layer of spice and vanilla oak, some herb. Medium bodied, smoother, almost strawberried and raspberry fruited, bright punch of acidity, big swell of tannin, punches right through the finish. Plenty of oomph here, though has finesse too. Needs some more time in bottle to show its full potential."

Tasting Notes
Felton Road is a premium wine producer stablished in 1991, the estate owns 32 ha of vineyards in the Bannockburn sub-region. They prioritise minimal intervention in both the vineyard and the winery, resulting in wines of unparalleled purity and complexity.
"Typical refined and deeply perfumed nose of dark fruits and enticing florals. These characters are echoed on the palate which is tightly bound with finely woven tannins. A juicy acidity and minerality provides the distinct brightness and penetrating focus of this great vineyard site. A wine of serious structure yet supremely balanced and elegant." - Felton Road
