96 / 100"Deep crimson. Intense ripe blackberry, prune, dried apricot, mocha aromas with hints of liquorice. Inky deep wine with abundant blackberry, dark plum, stone fruit flavours, fine chocolaty tannins, underlying cedar/ graphite notes. Finishes chewy firm with bittersweet chinotto notes. Generous and well-balanced wine with ultra-ripe plush fruits, attractive vigour and mineral length. Drink now – 2030."

"This is bold and brooding with dark fruit richness, smoky bacon, cedar, dark chocolate and potpourri aromas on the nose, leading to a concentrated palate displaying outstanding depth and density. Beautifully framed by firm tannins, making it superbly structured and persistent. At its best: now to 2038."

Tasting Notes
"This vineyard was planted in 1995 on an old apricot orchard which we removed from our Roennfeldt Road property at Marananga near Greenock. This rich, dark red wine has complex aromas of spice and fruit, plums, berries and a splash of dark chocolate with a lingering velvety finish." - Greenock Creek
