"Pure as you’d expect from this famous vineyard, but with structured minerals that drive deeper than ever. Focused from start to finish and it lingers so long as to be eerie. An all-time great."
- Tyson Stelzer

"Grosset Polish Hill riesling at its best. Extreme length. It’s not as austere as a young wine as Polish Hill riesling sometimes is, but it has so much bite through the finish that I’m not worried about it in terms of ‘developing too early’. Make no mistake, this is a smashing wine. Orange rind, lime, intense focus and a flourish to its tail."
- Campbell Mattinson

"Opens quietly on the bouquet and fore-palate before dramatically picking up the pace on the back-palate and finish, with spice, lime and some mineral."
- James Halliday

Tasting Notes

Jeffrey Grosset is regarded as one of Australia's best Riesling Winemakers. The Polish Hill Riesling is his most famous wine.

"On the palate, there is a brightness and youthful tang that is rare in young Polish Hill Rieslings. As ever, there is intense, pristine lime juice flavour made more complex by slatey, minerally characters all compressed and coiled by the wine’s tightness of structure. There’s characteristic finesse, power and a steely quality before the taut natural acidity highlights its lingering, dry finish. While the 2009 Polish Hill should age as well as other vintages, it may provide more joy in its youth." - Grosset
