93 / 100"A concentrated, intense red, with cherry, strawberry, iron, tobacco and spice flavors locked up tight within the solid structure. All the components are in the right place, and the finish is long. Just needs time. Best from 2019 through 2032."

"Mid crimson. Scented and heady. Super charming. On the nose it’s almost Oregonian! But on the palate there is Burgundian structure. Still a clear framework and ambition; this is not a slack Charmes. Well done for espousing grand cru quality. Needs food if you want to drink it now. But just about ready."

Tasting Notes
This Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2013 is a superb example of Pinot Noir from one of Burgundy’s most renowned Grand Cru vineyards. Crafted by one of the region’s most respected family estates, this wine reflects the power and elegance of the Charmes-Chambertin terroir, combined with the precision and balance of the 2013 vintage. Aromas of bright red fruit, forest floor, and subtle spice are complemented by a long, refined finish, making this wine an excellent candidate for cellaring or immediate enjoyment.
