93 / 100"A Riesling from Henty aged in foudre on its lees. Mix of herbs and fresh citrus peel, lifted and intense start. Textural hessian quality or that of dried hay and chamomile tea. Quince, brown pears and yellow apple skins. Candle wax. It’s not all pretty-floral aromas and citrus, there’s a dried herbs edge, that kind of rough nuance of dusty lavender. It has some residual sweetness but all is well balanced with a beautiful acidity line that melts with sugar seamlessly and makes your mouth water. Yum! Tasting Notes
Ripe, juicy lime, granny smith apples, melon, and passion fruit with a hint of spring blossom. Off Dry, l uscious, and refreshing with mouth watering acidity that coats the palate with a rich mouth feel. Will continue to develop flavours of spices and dried fruit in the coming years.
