Tasting Notes
Domaine Lignier-Michelot is a wine producer based in the village of Morey-Saint-Denis, in Burgundy's Cote de Nuits subregion, where it produces a range of predominantly red, Pinot Noir-based wines from the Morey appellation
There is a top note of menthol to the essence of red cherry liqueur, spice and pretty floral nuances. The impressively rich middle-weight flavours posses excellent volume as the old vines are very much in evidence, all wrapped in a velvety, sappy and moderately firm finale. This relatively robust effort will need a few years of cellaring first but should drink well on the earlier side.
