Tasting Notes
The domaine of Marc Brédif is one of the most celebrated names in the Loire Valley, renowned for the exceptional longevity and quality of its Vouvray wines. Established in 1893 as Château les Roches, it wasn't until 1919, when Marc Brédif succeeded his uncle, that the name was changed to reflect the new ownership. The ethereal Chenin Blanc from Marc Brédif is a benchmark for the region; vibrant and vividly expressive in its youth, it evolves into an immensely complex wine with age, developing notes of dried honey, lanolin, and calvados, all while maintaining a distinctive minerally acidity.
Only the juice which runs naturally from the grapes is used (not pressed juice) which is left to clarify for 18 to 24 hours.
