Wonderfully supported by plush texture and beautifully melded tannins, finishing long and delicious. At its best: now to 2036. $40.00. www.fourthwavewine.com.au. Nov 2024."

"This impressive Barossa Shiraz comes off a single block from what is regarded as one of the great Barossa vintages. So smooth and seamlessly laced together with fine tannins and subtle oak harmoniously complementing the smooth generous fruit. It was assembled with minimal intervention using wild yeasts, no added sulphites and then bottled unfined and unfiltered. Lovely chalky tannins are a feature of the palate."

"Love the label. Wild yeasts and minimal intervention are all part of the winemaking here for this single vineyard Shiraz. The colour is a deep yet vibrant maroon. The nose gives us blackberries, plums, chocolate, mocha, coffee beans and delicatessen meats. There is some real purchase on the palate, with focus and good length. A very well constructed and enjoyable style for drinking over the next six to eight years. The team suggest a much shorter drinking window. I really think they are doing themselves a disservice. Sure, it will be delicious drinking over the next couple, but I think it might have more legs than they suspect. Be fun finding out. 93."

Tasting Notes
Minimal intervention in the winery ensures a joyful glass of just what mother nature intended. Wild yeast fermented, no additions, vegan friendly, preservative free, unfined and unfiltered, nothing but fermented grapes at their finest.
Handpicked and sorted and then added to open fermenters before undergoing plunging.
This is such an honest expression of Shiraz from the Barossa exhibiting both freshness and flavour. It combines dark berries, spice and a soft, plush generosity of fruit flavour and fine tannins that make for a very satisfying glass of wine. Drink over the next two years with your favourite charcuterie or something char-grilled on the barbecue.
