93 / 100"(2021 vintage) This now all HVD vineyard, from the 1984 and 2003 plantings. A whisper of matchstick and cedar, peach and pineapple, maybe a little fennel. It’s juicy and packed with Chardonnay flavour, ripe limey acidity, a little almond and cream, light powdery texture and a burst of tropical fruit on a pretty long finish featuring clean acidity and a touch of spice. Quite a bit of sunshine in 2021 Hunter Chardonnay from what I’ve tasted so far, though this wine feels balanced and drinks very well. I’d say it will be better again given a spell to settle itself."

Tasting Notes
Entirely sourced from Tyrrell's famous HVD vineyard. These dry grown blocks were planted in 1984 and 2003 and together they produce a modern style that has both richness and finesse.
