93 / 100"Very good red-purple; firm, classic blackcurrant and earth varietal character in the mainstream of Coonawarra; the palate is powerful and rich, with blackberry, mulberry and blackcurrant fruit flavours held together in a strongly structured wine; plenty of tannins, and the oak is by no means overplayed"

Tasting Notes
Wynns Black Label Cabernet is a true icon of Australian wine. First produced in 1954, it has a reputation for ageing gracefully and displaying excellent varietal and regional characteristics.
Great aged Coonawarra Cab Sav. Beautiful deep red/brown. Relaxing on the nose. Soft and elegant in the mouth with a touch of tartness. The tannins have melted away but still some red fruits to stain the leather and tobacco. Spot on for an aged Cabernet which even though will not improve, still has legs for a few more years.
